Precautions to consider when taking Persimmon Leaves, to rule out prescription drug interactions (not presented as complete list but partial):

As far as prescription drug interactions from persimmon leaves, I have found no evidence that any exist. However, you should always check with your doctor if on any prescription drug medications at all, because new interactions are being discovered all the time, as more and more people turn to alternative remedies as adjunctive therapy for healing.

A note on pregnancy: In general, pregnant women and nursing mothers should ALWAYS talk with their doctor before using any herbs at all.

Persimmon leaves contain vitamins A and C along with flavonoids and are considered useful for weight loss, as well as for certain antimutagenic and anticarcinogenic properties. Persimmon leaves also help with constipation, weight loss and lowering cholesterol.

In addition, I found reference to the consumption of teas or tinctures made of
persimmon leaves being useful for reducing allergy symptoms, due to innate antihistamine properties.
