Autobiography of a Yogi
Paramhansa Yogananda Classic Now Available Online
Autobiography of a Yogi
If you have never read the classic
text, Autobiography of a Yogi by
Paramhansa Yogananda, I am
delighted to share that it has
been made available, in it’s
original 1946 edition text,
online at this site:
I just skimmed through a few
pages and gathered gems in
just that few, as I reminded
myself again of this book I
read long ago……
For example, I loved the
admonition not to confuse
spiritual tools with the goal,
which is greater communion
with and connection to God.
We can get so attached to
meditation that we forget it
has a purpose beyond itself.
I also loved the response of
the Saint that lived in his
home and rarely ventured
past his own sidewalk. He
said:
“God plants his saints sometimes in unexpected soil, lest we think we may reduce Him to a rule!”
Wonderful text. I’m so glad it’s available online now, free for the reading.
