Thank you Neva:

Pyusa (Pineal) Yoga or Shiva Yoga

By His Holiness Srikumarswamiji, The International Esoteric & Yoga Centre, Tapovan Dharwar

Physiology has recognized the importance ot the middle brainand of the endocrine glands, it has therefore set a value upon the pituitary and pineal glands. A special relationship unites the pituitary gland with the roof of the third ventricle on the one hand, and on the other with the whole system of ductless glands throughout the body. The third ventricle is a narrow slit lying near the base of cerebral hemishphere and separating the two thalami from each other. At the posterior end of this slit a small nodule of grey matter projects backwards and overhangs corpora quadrigemina of the mid brain. This is the pineal gland of Piyusa granthi. It represents all that remains of a third eye which used to adorn the fore-head of some of the lizare ancestors in far-off times. This type of lizard is found only in New Zealand and it dates back to the end of Palaeozoic period in the Permian epoch. One of this lizard’s features is that it has a quite well developed third eye behind and between the usual two This is known as the pineal eye and is represented in man by the pineal gland.

We will discuss about satyayuga and biological evolution topics in our next comments.

Anirudh: Do you believe this is inevitable, this process of implosion? In other words, can we as the collective family of earth, change this type of destructive process or do those who subscribe to the Pulsating Universe Theory believe it is a natural and unavoidable occurrence?

I have an interest in collective consciousness and the impact it has on how the earth lives and breathes.

Thank you very much dear Neva for your honest and frank opinion. Yours views also encourages me to say more.

Pulsating Universe Theory is the modern theory of cosmology. According to this some 12 billion years ago universe was born with a bang and the universe has been expanding ever since. It is likely to expand for 29 billion years more, when gravitation will halt further expansion. From then on, all matter will begin to contract or collapse upon itself in a process known as 'implosion', this will go on 21 billion years compressing matter into extremely superdense state and then it will explode once again.

According to Hindu Mythology Brahma is the creator of the universe. His life span is 100 years. One day of Brahma is called 'Kalpa'. This is equal to 4.32 billion years. In each 'Kalpa' Brahma creates 14 Manus one after the other. Manus manifest and regulate this world. Thus there are fourteen generations of Manu in each 'Kalpa'. Each Manu's life (Manvantra) consists of 71 Chaturyuga (quartest of yugas or eras). Each Chaturyuga is composed of four eras or yugas: Satyayuga, Tretayuga, Dwaparayuga and Kaliyuga.

Anirudh: Thanks for this info. I had not heard of Steady State Theory or Pulsating Universe Theory.

Wonder when 82 billion years would be up, signaling implosion time for the planet this cycle? If Pulsating Universe Theory is correct, of course ....

There are three theories about the origin of the universe in modern cosmology. They are Big Bang Theory, Steady State Theory and Pulsating Universe Theory. Hindu Mythology prefers a cyclically changing universe with repeated creation and destruction. According to Pulsating (Oscillating) Universe Theory, advocated among others by Dr. Allan Sangdage the universe expands and contracts alternately. According to this theory, the age of universe from explosion to implosion is 82 billion years. However, according to Hindu Mythology or Vedic Cosmology, the age of universe from explosion to implosion is 311 trillion and 40 billion years.

We will discuss about Satyayuga and other related topics in our next comments

Anirudh: Thanks for the update and I still look forward to your Yuga article in the future.

Quite interesting information. Our brains are shrinking, eh?

I am thinking of what Richard Bartlett, the creator of Matrix Energetics ( http://bit.ly/matrixenergeticscd ) said about studies done on Einstein's brain. The thinking was that it would be larger or have more grooves or something. Einstein's brain was actually smaller than average, they found.

I remember that discussion over Yuga is due. Meanwhile I would like to mention one study in support of my comments dated 2nd March, 2010:

“A project to reconstitute a 28,000-year-old skull is bound to shock those who like to portray themselves as sophisticates driven by brain rather than brawn.

Producing a replica of an early modern human skull, a French team has claimed that our brains are shrinking and that it is 15 to 20% smaller than our ancestor’s.”

Great, Anirhdh. I look forward to receiving your article. A couple of notes on submitting articles for the Healthy Wellness Blog:

They need to not bash anyone else's beliefs. You can state what you believe and even state where you feel some other belief misses the mark but there will be no inappropriately judgemental posts here.

The other criteria is that it must be original material, not already published online. I rarely ever republish content on the internet.

Thanks, you can email the article to me at askme at askahealer dot com or just post it as a comment the same way you did this comment. Thanks again and look forward to reading more about Satyayuga and the other Yugas.

Thank you very much for your great interest in my comments. I would shortly come up with detailed descriptions of Satyayuga and other Yugas (Ages) according to the Hindu View on Age of the Universe. Thank you once again

Anirudh: I'm unfamiliar with Satyayuga and would welcome more information for my readers on that subject. I agree that any highly focused and clear spiritual ceremony makes access to astral planes easier.
