Life in the moment
Let go and Let God?

The Present Moment May Appear to Suck
One of the strongest points of paradox I’ve experienced in this thing called “spiritual awakening” is how urgent the need to be in the now, present in the moment, may be and how much that may seem to suck.
It seems wrong, right? If we are in the present moment, life should have a flow and grace and ease, right?
Not necessarily, and certainly not instantly, in my experience.
Being present, being available to what is in the moment, sometimes means coming face to face with something soul-level ugly. I don’t want to do it; I being the little I, the personality self. “I” want to sail on past that little bit of awakening.
There is no sailing past it.
Sometimes, being in the moment, appears to suck.
That’s just how it is.
