A Conscious Experience of Draining Propositions
PLEASE NOTE: I am not an HD expert. I am sharing my own journey of the past few years, into the 6/3 Generator Profile experience. If you have positive information to add, please contact me. I’m happy to be educated on points that are still unclear to me. If you have negative information to share, please keep it to yourself. And if you think this post is just mind games, feel very free to just move on. Thanks.
I am new to human design. It’s a structure of knowledge for understanding how you are designed to function best in the world. There are four major types, of which one is the Generator.

I had heard in a video by Ra (and please note this is paraphrased… and my take on what he said) that Generators often become the slaves of the world because we have this huge lifeforce energy and there are always people who will want to drain it dry for their own agenda.
I had firsthand experience of this recently. I was offered a job. In talking about what the job entailed, I was met with first shock and then almost derision when I said there were parts of the work I would not want to do. If I had not been very strong in my truth, I would have allowed the massive cloud of judgement sent my way to coerce me into yet another position where I am doing things other people want done, that do not energize and renew me.
The paradox of those wanting employees to fit a mold and be willing to do “whatever is needed” is that when we are not aligned with a project, production suffers. Greatly. And the suffering to the poor saps who are doing work they hate is even worse than the eventual damage to the overall success of the project.
Far, far better to match employees with things they like to do, especially if that employee is a Generator and they want to be able to count on that remarkable lifeforce energy being there day to day for them without burning the Generator out.
Even if it means creating a second position, for someone wanting to do the different things a Generator might not want to do, would be preferrable than using up a Generator for short-term goals.
And, as more Generators become aware of what it looks and feels like to be seen as a commodity rather than a partner, this type of “do whatever we want you to do” attitude from employers will have to shift.
In my situation, I was initially almost certain I was dealing with a manifestor. There was no problem initiating at any point. This person initiated with every breath.
However, as I learn more about Human Design and my own profile of Generator, I remember that I used to initiate at every breath too! And though this person I was interacting with seemed to have some success in their lives, I saw the high degree of personal effort it had taken to reach and maintain the modicum of success they were living. The person themselves admitted the income was just meeting expenses. This result from years of almost round the clock effort? So, then I considered this person couldn’t be a Manifester unless they were extremely out of balance because a Manifestor initiates but Generators do the joyful work of the thing. This person was doing both.
Whether I was communicating, or trying to, with a manifestor, a generator or a manifesting generator (which actually seems most likely), the surfacing of anger so often was a sign that this person is in the non-self theme a lot.
The main problem for me in the experience was what I was given to respond to all led to a sacral no, because all of the points or response led to images of me being drained energetically, to temporarily feed the other person’s vision.
One clue was the almost total absense of actual questions and the almost continuous lack of attention toward any kind of resolve on the issues I had with the position. My way or the highway. So, highway it is.
