This side of Magic

Somewhere Over the Rainbow
I see Judy Garland’s magical, even mystical, smile as she sings this song. I believe her. I believe that she believes there is this magical place, or space, we can find where skies are perpetually blue. Just that line “Where skies are blue” evokes some kind of wistfulness.
So strong is the pull to find those blue skies that most of us spend most our lives looking.
I’ve been in my search for community and the space on earth that feels like “home” to me, my wet kitchens environment in Human Design, so that thriving is easiest for my body. I suppose that is my blue skies place.
I’ve had to be very careful not to miss the magic of the moment while seeking my environment. I haven’t always succeeded. Sometimes, I look around me and realize I’ve been in the future all day. I am 3-parts right so I suppose there’s a tendency but the thing about the future is that it is never here and now.
It’s a delicate walk and sometimes I stumble.
Often, I stumble.
One spiritual tool that has helped me is called Human Design. It’s a collection of information that postulates we all came in with a specific way of navigating our world. When we live within our design, our life will run like any well-maintained machine. When we don’t live our design, we experience frustration, bitterness or other unpleasant states of the not-self for our type and strategy.
In my specific Generator 6/3 profile, trial and error is a way of life. It’s built into my design in a way that I can never leave it. By learning to embrace the times when I fail or fall, as part of my trial and error approach and design, getting up has become easier but starting out again, in that trial and error way of mine, has gotten more challenging. Somewhere over the Rainbow may not exist. Or, by it’s nature, may always be over the rainbow. There is a peace that has begun to come, after exploring this perspective for a few years. Even when I try to avoid trial and error, I still find myself neck-deep in it, most of the time.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not an HD expert. I am sharing my own journey of the past few years, into the 6/3 Generator Profile experience. If you have positive information to add, please contact me. I’m happy to be educated on points that are still unclear to me. If you have negative information to share, please keep it to yourself. And if you think this post is just mind games, feel very free to just move on. Thanks.
