Explosive, negative expression of anger was the only way I personally knew until I began to heal the wounds of my childhood. It was a defense mechanism and my mind thought it was a way to keep me from being trapped and helpless as I felt when I was a child.

Many people have anger management issues and there are a lot of different ways to go about addressing healthy expression of anger feelings. I got a notice from someone I met online whose work is primarily in this field. His name is Lyle Becourtney and he’s in Blauvelt, NY.

I’d love to list anger management coaches or therapists who offer ongoing group meetings, from other parts of the country as well. Just send me your information. However, I reserve the right to reject any listing for any reason and the listings will not contain advertisments for products. I am particularly interested in those therapists who incorporate spiritual health and wellbeing into their practice.

PLEASE NOTE:
Though this is listed in the recommended health therapists section, I have not personally gone to any this therapist. I am listing him because of online association that has made me familar with his work and, on reading about his work, have concluded that it sounds good. You need to make your own decision after speaking with him or any other therapist.

Healthy Recipes from the Tai Chi Guy
Upcoming Easy Tai Chi Retreat in Georgia

Except for any noted source material, content copyright, Keith Jeffrey, all rights reserved

Since so many people have weight loss as a new year’s
resolution, I thought I’d post this recipe for a healthy
smoothie, along with an announcement
about Keith’s upcoming Tai Chi class in Georgia.

I used to drink smoothies a lot when I lived in Los Angeles
but I guess I’m lazy because I don’t make them often anymore.
There in L.A. they were on every corner, those smoothie shops.
Yum. I did love them.

Keith’s SUPER SMOOTHIE

One or two oranges - peeled
One apple or fresh pineapple, or both
Frozen fruit - raspberries, strawberries, blueberries
Half banana
Prunes (soft) - 2 or 3
Carrot - 1/2 - 1
Green leafy veges - chard, spinach
Ice cubes - 8
Protein powder
Non sweetened yoghurt
Green Powder (dehydrated fruits and vegetables)
Super Blue Green Algae powder
Good quality oil - with a high percentage of Omega 3
Whole flax seeds
Whole sesame seeds
Nuts
Oat bran (to reduce cholesterol)
We also add our daily vitamins and some minerals
Vitamin C
Vitamin D
Vitamin E
Calcium and/or magnesium
Plus whatever other supplements or whole foods you take daily
You can also add any laxative you might be taking (ie: bran, psyllium, Benefiber)

Blend and drink! This will add some life to 2008! And amazingly, it tastes great! (Serves 2-3).

Note: This is my personal recipe. It is not intended to treat any diseases process and may need to be modified to fit individual dietary requirements. It may not be suitable for everyone, so check with your health care provider if necessary.

If you are interested in learning Tai Chi, Keith has a class coming up in Georgia. The dates are Feb. 1-4, 2008 and the location is Jekyll Island; the vacation that heals

Atlasprofilax Recommendation

Personal recommendation for health therapist - Georgia
Except for any noted source material, content copyright, Neva. J. Howell, all rights reserved

I heard about atlasprofilax from a friend in Hawaii who had the work done in California. At first, I thought it was just another name for a chiropractic adjustment I’d heard about, called “hole in one” but this was different. After reading about it and talking with my friend who had experienced such wonderful relief from it, I decided to have the work done myself.

It looked as though I might have to go to California to get the work done….there wasn’t anyone in my area or anywhere near me that was trained to do it. Even now, I think there are still only 7 Certified ATLASPROFILAX® Practitioners in the US.

Luckily for me, a man in Georgia, named Lon Lynch, had just been trained and was now available! I was referred to Lon and I set up an appointment immediately to try this non-invasive, specific adjustment of the Atlas. For me, atlasprofilax provided profound relief from a very chronic problem that had lasted for decades…well, maybe all my life but noticably painful for at least 25 years.

I cannot possibly say enough about this therapist. Lon is caring, careful, precise, respectful and humble. He is skilled and gentle.

If you are like me and have chronic neck pain, and your chiropractor tells you that your atlas is out every time you go for an adjustment, then atlasprofilax might offer you the same relief it has offered me and many others.

I will be doing an article on my main site, about my experience with atlasprofilax as well as the different types of chiropractic care I’ve had over the years so if you subscribe to this category you will know when the information is available; I’ll post the link here when the article is up.

Atlasprofilax has proven very beneficial for those who suffer chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and pain from repetitive strain. It is a non-invasive procedure and is different from both massage therapy or a chiropractic adjustment.

According to the creators of this remarkably simple yet profoundly powerful procedure, most people live with a mis-seated atlas. The atlas is the list cervical vertebra, where the neck meets the base of the skull. If the atlas is out, everything below it (meaning the entire spinal column) is also out). Over time, this creates chronic pain and discomfort such as what I had for so long.

I would have an adjustment and in just a day, my neck would be hurting again.

ATLASPROFILAX® gently “nudges” the atlas (C1) back into its proper position relative to the base of the skull where it correctly reinstalls itself as was designed by nature. This easy, non-medical, soft tissue method is quick and virtually painless!

I did not experience any of the cracking sounds or jarring feelings I have had with manual adjustments. I did feel something profound was happening but it’s hard to articulate how that feels when it’s happening. I just felt as if something vital was being put right again.

I followed up with more massage work, which I think is key to optimal results with atlasprofilax. Just because my atlas was now in correct position didn’t mean that all my muscles remembered their natural position. They were all used to being torqued so it took a while for them to get the message. However, my atlas has stayed pain-free except for normal tension after a long day of typing.

To me, this is a miracle.

Colonics Therapist Feedback - St. Paul

Positive Feedback for Colonics Therapist - St. Paul, Minnesota

This is a new section I just added to the blog.  It will feature feedback about health care professionals, healing facilitators and therapists that I have been to and recommend or that others have been to and given positive feedback for.  I hope to get recommendations for every state eventually so if you know a health professional who offers superior service, let me know about it and I may add them here.

This feedback came to me from a lady in St. Paul Minnesota.  If you are in the St. Paul area and looking for a good colonics therapist, Eldoris comes with high recommendations from a happy recipient of her healing abilities as a colonics therapist.

Her name is Eldoris.  Her business in North St. Paul MN is called “Collage”.  Phone number: 651-770-0337

Feedback from Client after Colonics at Collage with Eldoris:

I had another colonic today from a different therapist using a method more as the one you described.  It was unbelievable!  She initially used a chi machine, hot compresses over the belly, foot reflexology, and belly massage.  Then onto the colonic room where I released what seemed like half my weight.  I’ve been exhausted since and feel that is healing in itself.  Am going back for more this week until I feel completely relieved of Candida die-off which is when I’ll know I’m well.  Will continue the rest of my wellness protocol forever as it feels right.  Happy New Year
